Closing up shop

At the beginning of last year, I was writing a business plan for my growing little cookie business.  While most people do this prior to starting a business, like a lot of home bakers, I didn’t plan on being a business – I just wanted to make pretty cookies.  Once things got rolling (quickly) I needed to write a plan to attempt to get things under control.  My business plan was well thought out, full of charts, numbers, estimates, research… I really had no excuse not to accomplish everything I had planned.  And I did, I reached all the goals I had set for my business.

However, meeting all my goals had unintended consequences.  I got very tired and not just after a busy week but ALL. THE. TIME.  And when you’re the household CEO, that’s never a good thing.

With that said, I’m no longer taking cookie orders.  I really hate disappointing, but do not despair! My contact page has a list of fantastic decorated cookie bakers in the area.  A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has ordered from me, I’ve appreciated each and every cookie order!

When time permits, I will offer seasonal cookies so follow me on Facebook to stay in touch for that.

In closing, here are some of my fav sets from last year!  Not sure if I’ll keep this blog going or not – right now, I’m just going to focus on getting the laundry done.  ;-)

You have made some beautiful cookies that I’m sure were.very time consuming. Your family needs more of your time. Enjoy this time with them!
